About Us

C&L was established in 1981 by Eric Bass, who began his career working for Sontag Plumbing as a stock boy. There, he began to learn about plumbing parts before venturing into sales for Amfac, Hajoca & Keenan Supply.

After ten years in the industry, Eric ventured out on his own and founded C&L. He named the company after his two daughters, Carmela & Leanne, who were then 15 and 12 years old.

Eric brought his knowledge of sales, people and plumbing to C&L. But it was the joy he found in finding solutions for his customers that helped the company grow and evolve into other industries. He also taught his daughter Carmela about the products and solutions, one part at a time. She joined the company years later and continues to this day.

His wife Carmen and step-son Gordon joined the business in the 90s, and today, C&L has included three generations on its team.

Although Eric is no longer here, his family continues to operate to provide not just a product, but a solution for their customers.
