Everprime® Drain Liquid

Your Solution to Dried Out Drains..

Drains are designed with a P-Trap, it is within the curved portion of the trap that there is standing water after each use.  This liquid in the bend is what creates a seal that prevents sewer gasses and odor from coming back up through the drain into the building
 (see illustration on the left)

If a drain (floor, shower, sink or other) does not get used, the liquid in the trap, which is usually water will evaporate.

If there is no trap primer in place or it is not functioning, the water seal is not replenished leaving it susceptible to potentially harmful pathogens, foul odors and even pests to  come up through the drain.

Did you know: A trap can dry out as quickly as 2 to 4 weeks?

A common way of addressing this is by adding water to the drain whenever there is a complaint about smell.  Of course this will continually need to be done and is not very efficient or reliable

Mineral oil is sometimes added on top of the water to keep it from evaporating, however this is not the best option since it is not stable and can go rancid.

With EverPrime liquid you Simply Add it and Forget it.

It will not go rancid and will stay in place indefinitely until it is washed out by use.

Benefits are:

  • Eliminate tenant complaints
  • Improves IAQ
  • Lasts indefinitely
  • Keeps pests & drain gnats out
  • Biodegradable
  • Saves water, time and money
  • And is Quick & Simple

EverPrime® Liquid! Simply add  water to the smelly drain, then add approximately three (3) ounces of EverPrime into the  drain on top of the water Done! As long as there is no additional large amounts of water entering the drain, flushing it out, EverPrime will last indefinitely.

For 1-1/2" to 2" drains add approx. 3 oz. of EverPrime
(sink, shower or floor)

For 3" to 4" drains add approx. 6 oz. of EverPrime
(floor)

EverPrime pays for itself on its first application! Just calculate what it may cost to answer a call that a facility or room smells. A custodian or plumber is dispatched to investigate, using their time, gas and resources. They find a smelly floor drain and try to remedy the situation.… And then may have to do it again in a couple of weeks or months!
